Party Lomban or also known by the name of the local community as bakda kupat and bakda lomban is a fishing community party in the district of Jepara in the form of sea alms. But now it belongs to the whole society of Jepara, not the fisherman only. This celebration center is located on Kartini Beach , Jepara [1] , but can also be seen at Ujung Gelam, Koin Beach, Karimunjawa , as well as some previously designated places. [2] This party is the peak event of Syawalan Week which was held on 7 Syawal or 1 week after Idul Fitri celebrated in many areas in JeparaBeach. [3]

Etymology 

The term Lomban by some people of Jepara is mentioned from the word "race-race" which means fishing community at that time having fun carrying out sea competitions which as now still held every Lomban party, but some say that the word lomban comes from the word " Lelumban "or fun. Everything has the same meaning of celebrating the holiday with fun after fasting Ramadan a full month.
They prepare "Ammunition" to be used in the "Jepara Bay War" both logistic ammunition in the form of drinks and food and ammunition of war in the form of ketupat, lepet and kolang kaling, to enliven the fireworks so that the atmosphere is like a war of the present Departure of this boat fleet accompanied by gamelan Kebogiro .

Activity

Today's party of Lombans has been implemented by the citizens of the Jepara fishermen even in its development has become the property of the people of Jepara.This looks great participation Jepara people welcomed the Feast of Lomban. Two or three days before the Lomban Festival takes place the markets in the city of Jepara looks crowded as it was during the Idul Fitri holiday. Housewives are busy preparing for the lomban party as the second holiday. Merchants wrapped in a package with lean (ingredients kupat and lepet) also sells chicken to complement the side dishes.
At the time of the Lomban party took place all the markets in Jepara closed no merchants who sell it all flocked to Kartini Beach. Party Lombang lasted from 06.00 am starting with the ceremony of the release of offerings from TPI Ujungbatu . The ceremony was led by religious leaders of Ujungbatu village and was attended by the Bupati of Jepara and other District officials. After being released by prayer offerings in the form of buffalo head is in "LARUNG" to the middle of the ocean, this offerings escort led by the Regent of Jepara.

WAYANG KULIT, Java's Culture

Wayang kulit  is a traditional  puppet-shadow play  found in the culture of  Java ,  Bali , and  Lombok ,  Indonesia . [1] In a  wayang  kulit performance, the puppet figures are rear-projected on a taut linen screen with a coconut-oil (or electric) light. The  Dalang  (shadow artist) manipulates carved leather figures between the lamp and the screen to bring the shadows to life.
