Klayar Beach is a beach with white sand and rocks and rock cliffs that surround. [1] The beach is located in Pacitan , East Java and borders Wonogiri , Central Java . [1]Precisely located in Sendang Village, Donorojo District, Pacitan Regency, East Java Province . The distance is about 40 km to the west of the city Pacitan. [1] This beach is still in line with Teleng Ria Beach which has been managed as a tourist place first
Attractions
The journey to Klayar Beach through the winding road, up and down, and decorated with rows of hills, small caves that look stalactites and stalakmitnya from the side of the road. [2] Klayar Beach has a white sandy beach with rows of coconut trees, and towering hills on the beach that can be climbed by tourists to see the beauty of Klayar Beach from the top of the hill. [2]
In addition to white sandy beaches, Klayar Beach has a unique phenomenon that there is a gap in the rock. [3] When the waves come quite swiftly, some of the water goes beneath the rock and gushes upward like a giant fountain that can reach a height of up to 10 meters. [3] This fountain is also accompanied by a whistling sound so often referred to as the Sea Flute . [3] Another uniqueness, in this row of cliffs on the eastern side is a gigantic Sphinx- like reef. [3]
The atmosphere of Klayar Beach
Klayar beach has blue sea water and very large waves, so visitors are not allowed to swim. [4] Beach lips decorated with coconut trees and huts / limpak-limpak roofed with dried leaves, reef tidal areas are also still naturally maintained. [2] Tourists can also walk along the reefs to find Mollusca shells, and the starfish of Echinodermata .[2] Besides also along the rocks there is also limpet and seaweed that grows around the rocks. [2] Tourists can see firsthand the local people climbing coconut trees to take water droplets (raw materials for the manufacture of sugar Java) or just to be served directly to tourists while enjoying the natural beauty of the beach Klayar. The beach is not so well known, so it can only be reached by private car or motorcycle.
From the direction of Pacitan
Travel from downtown Pacitan , can be reached by motorcycle or car for 3 hours journey. [1] Transportation facilities used munuju beach attractions Klayar generally only exist in the morning along with the community when going to the market in the sub-district pringkuku except motorcycle taxi. [2] Types of transportation facilities include:
1). Andongan
Andongan is a type of transportation that is usually used by residents around the pacitan area that existed during the days of Javanese market (Wage, Legi, Pahing, Kliwon). [2] This transportation is a pickup car which is fit to accommodate about 20 people and mostly to transport merchandise to the market such as coconut, rice, sweet potatoes, corn, charcoal and other agricultural products located around the Donorejo sub-district especially Kendal village. [2]
2). Car Matuk
Transportation tool is used by the community of the hamlet of Kendal usually to take home to go to the market every day in the morning and there are only 2 units owned by local residents. [2]
3). Taxibike
Form of motorcycles of all kinds provided by the surrounding community for transportation apart from the available cars. [2]
From the direction of Yogyakarta
There are several routes that can be taken to get to the beach attractions Klayar, but the fastest and highly recommended route is to follow the route from the area of Gunung Kidul Yogyakarta . [5] Through the Wonosari area to the coast of Klayar in Pacitan it only takes about 2.5 hours only. [5] To facilitate travel, it is best to use the motor as a means of transportation, because the road to be traversed enough winding and narrow, so that if using the car will slow the trip. From the direction of Solo
From Solo take to the District Pracimantoro , continue the journey up to the intersection Giribelah, then turn right to the right there is a long incline with a radical slope.[6] Continue traveling until Kalak crossroad. [6] At medium speed, from Kalak it only takes half an hour to arrive at Klayar Beach. [6]
