Balekambang beach is a beach on the south coast located on the edge of the Indonesian Ocean administratively entering the area of ​​Sumber Jambe Village , Srigonco Village , Bantur District , Malang Regency , East Java [1] and is one of the mainstay tourism of Malang Regency since 1985 until now. The attraction of Balekambang is primarily a natural panorama , wave waves that stretch almost two kilometers, and the expanse of sand nan broad.White sand area looks clean from garbage or dirt so it is quite convenient for visitors to play and exercise. 

This beach began to flourish and stop by the public in 1978, after the opening of the access road that was done Kadesh Srigonco Tukiran. Balekambang name increasingly known after officially opened as one of the tourist attractions by the Regent of Malang, Eddy Slamet in 1983. At that time the road was already dipakadam. This beach was also inaugurated as a scout campsite Malang regency. Now, access to Balekambang is easy and convenient, visitors only difficulty when in the region of the Mayit Ravinebecause of a sharp cornering angle. However, the road has been paved smooth because of good access, it only takes no more than 30 minutes from Bantur town to Balekambang.

Balekambang Beach other than as a nature tour, can also be referred to as religious attractions.Because on certain days, thousands of visitors come to this beach to perform rituals. For Muslims, they undergo a ritual with a pilgrimage to the grave of Shaykh Abdul Jalil , the first person to shake Balekambang Beach. Every 1st Sya'ban, pilgrims spill over to a remote tomb on the edge of Kali Berek , about 1 km away from Balurambang Beach from Bantur. The origin of Shaykh Abdul Jalil is rumored to have originated from Jogjakarta . He is a noble family who has a high religious knowledge, so his influence in society is so strong. Moreover, Shaykh Abdul Jalil including those who do not want to compromise the Dutch colonial, the Dutch make it as a man who must be removed.
In addition to Muslims, Hindus also make this beach as the main place of worship once every year.Precisely on Nyepi day , its location in Pura Amarta Jati which is in Ismoyo Island . The island is jutted in from the shore of about 70 meters which is connected with the bridge. The existence of this temple is like a magnet for Balekambang Beach. Nyepi tradition by holding a Hindu religious ritual always eagerly awaited tourists from various regions, including foreign tourists.
Around the beach Balekambang also available lodging for the visitors. The first is at the Bamboo Inn there are 8 rooms priced at Rp 150 thousand per day. While the latest is Hotel Wibisana as much as 10 rooms, whose quality is better than the Bamboo inn. This new room is priced at Rp 250 thousand per day. For the Large category can accommodate up to six people with supported bathroom and electrical facilities. Two types of this type of lodging has adequate facilities and all provide a direct view of the beach and the sea.
