KARANG BOLONG BEACH, Kebume's Tourism

Karangbolong Beach is one of the coastal tourist attraction located in Karangbolong Village , Buayan District , Kebumen District , Central Java . The beach is contoured with gentle slopes, sandy enough, bounded by clastic rock sediments derived from volcanoes. It is on this beach that there are many birds' nests that are managed by the local government as the local revenue. [1]

Beach conditions 

The gray-sized gray sand is sourced from the rock. The sweep of large waves that hit the wall of the hills produced enough energy to erode, transport and re-settle the rock grains. The high degree of weathering in this region accelerates the abrasion process. Karangbolong Beach has the potential to form a strong backflow, so it is a dangerous area for swimming. In this coastal area there is also Karangbolong Cave, located on the east side. A long corridor is formed on the brittle lava layer. Karangbolong Cave measuring 30 meters long, 10 meters wide and about 5 meters high. The breccia, known as this gabon formation ofoligo-miocene or about 30 to 15 million years ago, is exposed together with sandstone inserts and clay. [2]

The formation of the Karangbolong Cave is influenced by the collapse occurring along the boundary between the breccia and the pasri stone or the clay stone. The collapse hole will be even greater because the rock layers that hang on the roof of the hole always collapse due to the weight. The process is also triggered by the existing knackers, whose presence weakens the bonding power of the various components of the rock.The process of forming the cave is well-observed at the eastern and southern ends of Goa Karangbolong, where on a small scale rocks occur along different layer boundaries. Because it is not a limestone cave, then in Goa Karangbolong not found ornaments. [3]

The waters of Karangbolong Beach are very pampering visitors who want to channel the hobby of fishing, because the area is very abundant fish. In addition to Karangbolong Beach, Kebumen District still has other beach attractions such as Pantai Ayah, Petanahan Beach, Beach Leak, and Suwuk Beach. [4]

WAYANG KULIT, Java's Culture

Wayang kulit  is a traditional  puppet-shadow play  found in the culture of  Java ,  Bali , and  Lombok ,  Indonesia . [1] In a  wayang  kulit performance, the puppet figures are rear-projected on a taut linen screen with a coconut-oil (or electric) light. The  Dalang  (shadow artist) manipulates carved leather figures between the lamp and the screen to bring the shadows to life. Wayang kulit is one of the many different forms of wayang theatre found in Indonesia, the other being  wayang beber ,  wayang klitik ,  wayang golek ,  wayang topeng , and  wayang wong . Wayang kulit is among the best known, offering a unique combination of ritual, lesson and entertainment.
